First Floor Sanding Training Event in Ireland

On the 3rd, 4th and 5th of October 2022, Daly Industrial Supply hosted the first Floor Sanding Training in Ireland by the American Sanders Sand & Finishing School.

The event was attended by more than 50 people from across the country, including contractors, hire shops and individuals interested in enhancing their floor preparation skills and knowledge.

Hands-On Training with American Sanders

The American Sanders training event gave attendees the opportunity to learn new techniques and improve their existing floor preparation skills during the first visit of the American Sanders Training Team to Ireland.

Throughout the training, attendees learned key sanding techniques for multiple types of finishes, including sanding patterns for flatter floors, how to clock the buffer to help eliminate scratch marks, double-style edging techniques for smoother edges, and much more.

The American Sanders Sand & Finish School provided a detailed, hands-on training course designed to enhance the skill set of wood floor craftsmen.

About Daniel Boone

Daniel Boone has over 45 years of experience in the wood floor industry. He began working with his father before establishing his own business in 1982.

A second-generation wood floor contractor, Daniel later became the former Technical Director at the National Wood Flooring Association, where he created a national curriculum for the wood flooring education programme and trained more than 10,000 students.

Hosted at Daly Industrial Supply, Cork

This three-day training event was held at the new premises of Daly Industrial Supply Company, based in Cork, Ireland.

The event reinforced Daly Industrial Supply’s commitment to supporting professional training, product knowledge and hands-on industry education for customers across Ireland.
